Datenschutzerklärung für MD Inventory

Stand: 20. Oktober 2026

Kurz gesagt

MD Inventory erhebt keine Daten.

Verantwortlich

wekomm engineering GmbH – Anschrift und Kontaktdaten siehe Impressum.

Was die App speichert

Berechtigungen

Privacy Policy for MD Inventory

Last updated: October 20, 2026

In short

MD Inventory does not collect any data. Everything you enter stays on your device and – if you turn on backup – encrypted in your own iCloud Drive. We run no server, have no accounts and never see your data.

Controller

wekomm engineering GmbH – for address and contact details see our imprint.

What the app stores

The setup codes of your Matter devices and the details you add (name, room, manufacturer, model, firmware, notes), in a database on your device that is fully encrypted with your password. Without the password nobody can open it – including us.

iCloud backup and sync

If you turn on backup, the app stores an encrypted copy of the database in the app's container in your iCloud Drive. Several of your devices signed in to the same Apple ID keep their inventory in sync through it. The copy is encrypted with your password; Apple stores it but cannot read it. Next to it, only the time of the last password change is stored unencrypted, for syncing. Apple's iCloud privacy terms apply.

Home Assistant

If you connect the app to Home Assistant, it talks directly to your Home Assistant server on your own network. The credentials are kept in your device's keychain. Nothing passes through us or third parties.

Permissions

What the app does not do

No ads, no analytics, no tracking, no crash reports with content, no sharing with third parties.

Deletion

“Delete everything” in Settings removes all setup codes on all syncing devices. Deleting the app removes the local database. You can remove the backup in iOS Settings under your Apple Account → iCloud → Manage Storage → MD Inventory.
